Last November California had an election for Governor besides other things. One of the candidates was into dirty filthy campaigning and the other had a few nasty ads to counter act some of the attacks of his opponent.

As a died in the wool Democrat I rarely vote for a Republican but in the afore mentioned election I voted Republican (Arnold), not because I am gaga over a movie star governor, or because I believe he has done an especially better job than his predecessor but I did not like the attack ads his opponent State Treasurer Phil Angeledes ran. Angeledes did the same sort of stuff on his primary opponent, who I believe could have beaten Schwarzenegger in the general election, and eked out a win. I have decided unless the opponent is really a turkey I will not vote for anyone who piles on the attack ads. I want them to tell me what they are all about not their opponent. Let me decide who is best for me. Give me issues and facts about yourself not trash talk the other guy. I am sick of sleezy, nasty, attack ads. I hope enough other people will look past those ads and do a little research into the truth. Don't be fooled by the same thing over and over. That is how guys like Hitler got into office, by repeating what people want to hear over and over and over and over again whether true or not.

What's nasty about #4 is it's Science Fiction. If you believe People are going to get out of wheelchairs and the sick will all be cured. You are mistaken. That's the nasty part. Besides no one outlaws Stem cell research .It should be done by private companies. After all they will make Billions from it,we won't get it for free even if we pay for it. why should taxpayers support corporations?

Actually, #3, #4, AND #5 all call for accountablility. #3 simply points out that in Idaho, the Club for Growth saddled Republicans with a candidate that even they don't like and reminds the district voters who the Republicans among them selected to represent them in Congress. #4 is only nasty if you think opposition to stem cell research is based on intellectual deliberation, and #5 if you're Thelma Drake or a mamber of her staff or family. Since when is being held responsible for your voting record "nasty"?

I'm sorry, but #4 doesn't seem "nasty" to me, just particularly effective. Does a true calling for accountability on one's vote count as "nasty?"

Finally a strong public purpose for youtube - it's great to see these horrendous ads that normally would not be seen out of their local markets.

Good stuff.. ;-)

I've been watching the bullshit Reichert's been coming out with about Darcy Burner here in Seattle. It's all minor stuff.
Reichert's throwing great big stones at glass houses, to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars he gave Big Oil a while back.. Can't wait to see that glass shatter..
It is entertaining..
