Actually, Canadians _are scratching their heads at y’all.

Can’t quite figure out the shoot ‘em, jail ‘em, leave ‘em bleedin’ in the street, actor-electin’ way you otherwise fairly nice folks go about things.

Curious, really.

But maybe that’s why we Canadians are known for breeding such good comedians; we have such absurd neighbours.

Yes, neighbours with a “u”. And then there’s the whole thing with “w”, of course.

I’d say #1 is a joke because it’s delivered by an animated George Bush.

It’s not clear that the questioner even cares about gay rights in the military — they could just as easily be thinking that it’s funny to use the word “homosexual.”

That’s sort of the point of the article. The YouTubers haven’t embraced the faux “be seen and be counted” meme. Instead they’re using it to play around in their own, original ways. Election what?

Thanks for the number 2 slot. I can’t advance a reasonable explanation for the Disclosure Project (ie 600 witnessess with impeccable credentials willing to testify the truth in congress) – so its time to let congress find the answers so we can all make informed opinions.

I agree with Chris Coda. While the first video is a bit of a troll, it’s a very good one. Right now there’s an critical shortage of military translators in Iraq, yet the military has discharged 300 of them for not being heterosexual. That’s no laughing matter. Here’s some background:

Hold on a second, why is #1 a joke? The military has discharged a group of linguistics experts who speak Farsi and other Middle Eastern languages, some of which were serving in Iraq, because they are gay (not sure of the exact number).

I assume if the this highly unlikely event were to actually occur, it would be the military who would have access to the intel, so what if the only available linguists were known or suspected to be gay? Or if none were available because they were all overseas, where they are so badly needed– Because, well, we fired a bunch of them for being gay.

It’s just as likely as the inane “ticking-timebomb-I’ve-been-watching-too-many-24 episodes-while-eating-cheetos-in-my-moms-basement” rationale.
