Kathleen, there are normal men and there are crazy men. There are normal women, and there are crazy women.

Please do not express misandrist sentiment.

Anyhow, on one level I agree that it was very naïve to respond to the Craiglist ad. But the legal burden and moral burden fell on Fortuny. He could have simply responded back saying “Just kidding – I am not really who I said I was. Please don’t send confidential details to strangers.”

Instead he chose a different path. His failure of understanding of the word “integrity” lead to his downfall.

Anyone DUMB ENOUGH to send naked pictures to some email address on CL deserves what they get. Are you such a lazy broke ass that you can’t join one of million hookup sites ou there? But I do agree with Kaleo, repeatedly reposting stuff once it was flagged is sort of over the line.

Good riddance. There are so many pranksters and scams on the internet, hopefully this will send out the correct warnings to people who try to scam people. It just wastes to much of other people´s time who are seriously trying to find infomation on theinternet.

It is too bad that Fortuny posted explictly identifying info, but what is really sad is the amount of pure hatred that all those “nice” guys expressed towards females. It went way beyond “kinky”. Yet more evidence which makes me quite leery of all men in general, since most of them looked like they could be any guy I know.

Much to my surprise, I find myself siding with Fortuny but only to the extent of his initial post. I’d call it performance art or something. But, repeatedly reposting deleted material crosses over into malicious harassment.
